Bridgeport Exhibit To Celebrate Fashion Designer, Artist Angelina Rea Paul

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- There will be an art exhibition called "Common Threads: A Tribute to Angie Paul" opening with a reception Thursday, May 26, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Kennedy Center’s Maggie Daly Arts Coop in Bridgeport.

This free exhibit honors the work of fashion designer Angie Paul. Also on view will be a Common Threads Exhibition by MDAC artists. 

This exhibit has been underwritten by Gloria and Bill Paul in memory of Angelina Rea Paul. Paul was an artist and fashion designer who studied at New York’s Traphagen School of Fashion. She was the daughter of Italian immigrants and a lifelong resident of Bridgeport. 

She used her talent to design and produce an array of fashions, including gowns, dresses, christening outfits, costumers and men’s clothing for dignitaries, friends, family and charitable events. 

There will be a wine, hors d’oeuvres and conversation.
