Stephen Sondheim's Assassins! Opens At Bridgeports Bijou Theatre

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Stephen Sondheim’s play “Assassins!” will open this weekend at the Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport.

The play, based on John Weidman’s book, explores the psyches of people who have either killed or tried to kill U.S. presidents.

“Assassins!” will run Friday, Nov. 7, at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 8, at 8 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 14, at 8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 15, at 3 and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 16, at 5 p.m.

Kevin Pelkey is the play’s director, while Jerold Goldstein will provide musical direction.
