The Hartford-based Ndibe's 2014 novel tells the story of a New York-based Nigerian cab driver who decides to sell a statue of an ancient war deity from his home village and sell it to a New York gallery. The novel was praised as "a lesson in the art of the novel" by the New York Journal of Books, who described Ndibe as "a writer's writer."
Ndibe's talk is free and open to the public and will begin at 2 p.m. in Room A101 in Lafayette Hall. Housatonic Community College is located at 900 Lafayette Boulevard in downtown Bridgeport.
