“During election season, we’re exposed to political campaigns in the media every day," said Jennifer Rodriguez, community life director at The Watermark. "We are looking forward to hearing Paul’s perspective on this topic, and hope that our residents and guests will join us for this unique and informative discussion."
Janensch's lecture will cover separating news from opinion, the accuracy of polls, the relevance of televised forums and which topics and candidates are getting the most attention.
A Q&A session with the audience will follow the presentation.
Janensch was the editor of the Courier-Journal in Louisville, Ky. and newspapers in New York and Massachusetts. He taught journalism for 18 years at Quinnipac University.
The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. Contact The Watermark at 203-374-5611 to RSVP.
The Watermark is located at 3030 Park Ave. on the Fairfield border.
