Bridgeport's Daniel Caruso, Joseph Mattone Earn First Saint Pio Award

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Bridgeport residents Judge Daniel Caruso and Joseph Mattone will receive the first Saint Pio Award at the first "Saint Pio Award Ceremony."

The event is at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16 at the Tashua Knolls Golf Course, 40 Tashua Knolls Lane, Trumbull. A cocktail reception followed by a gala dinner will take place. 

The Saint Pio Award was established to recognize the selfless and outstanding contribution to the Catholic Church and the individuals who have strong commitment to the support of the foundation and its vision.

The Rev. Frank Caggiano, Fifth Bishop of the Diocese of Bridgeport, and the famous American singer and actor Franc d'Ambrosio, will be the special guests of honor at the event.
