Barnum Festival Backers Dance The Night Away At Ringmaster's Ball

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Dancers of all ages enjoyed themselves Saturday at the Ringmaster's Ball, which was part of the annual Barnum Festival.

The ball at the Holiday Inn in Bridgeport featured Ringmaster Jason Julian and the Royal Family. The people danced the night away and enjoyed dinner, live and silent auctions and the music of the group Livewire.

Proceeds from the event go toward funding for the Festival’s free community events including the Wing Ding Parade for Kids, Pops Concert at Seaside Park and Skyblast Fireworks, Barnum Road Show visits to area nursing homes, and the Great Street Parade.

The next event associated with the Barnum Festival is a game with the Bridgeport Bluefish on Thursday, June 23. The "Barnumpalooza" at Seaside Park will be held Saturday and Sunday, and features food trucks, a beer garden, live music and fun rides for children.

Visit the Barnum Festival website for more information.
