The California estate of Dr. Seuss has hit the market for $9.95 million.
Dr. Seuss, Theodor Geisel, as he was known growing up in Springfield, Massachusetts, bought what would become the 5,000-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-bathroom hilltop estate in La Jolla, California, in 1948 with his first wife, Helen, according to the New York Post. She died in 1967.

A city in Westchester County has a new high point in its skyline.
Yonkers officials marked the opening of Hudson 44, a 27-story residential tower at 44 Hudson St., now the tallest building in the city, Mayor Mike Spano announced Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Rising along the city’s waterfront, the development adds 250 residential units, including 25 designated as affordable housing, according to the mayor. The project represents one of the largest recent residential investments in the city’s ongoing waterfront redevelopment.
