Benjamin Gleason, 39, was indicted on 17 charges including multiple counts of rape and sexual assault, the Columbia County District Attorney’s office said. He previously lived in Chatham but had recently moved to a hotel in Castleton-on-Hudson.
Gleason runs a TikTok page with 1.1 million followers and nearly 51 million likes, and his most recent post came within 24 hours of his arrest on Friday, March 20. In a November 2025 clip, he boasted about his pretty face after someone criticized him.
“Of course I know what kind of audience I attract,” he said in the video. “I’m me, with this face. I’ve attracted the same kind of audience my entire life: women, gay guys, they love this face. Sorry if that upsets you.”
But from 2011 to 2021, investigators said Gleason assaulted seven women between the ages of 17 to 27. New York State Police began investigating Gleason following a tip in February 2026, which eventually led to his arrest.
Gleason was charged with:
- Three counts of predatory sexual assault
- Three counts of first-degree rape (forcible compulsion)
- Three counts of first-degree rape (physically helpless)
- Four counts of first-degree criminal sexual act
- Second-degree aggravated sexual abuse
- First-degree sexual abuse (forcible compulsion)
- Third-degree criminal sexual act
- Third-degree rape
He pleaded not guilty Monday at his arraignment and was ordered held without bail until his next court date on April 29, according to prosecutors. He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison if convicted.
