The man, wearing a tan jacket, black shirt, and black pants, is seen on video walking around St. Raphael’s in East Meadow around 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 11, the Nassau County Police Department said.
Inside the church, the suspect used a clothes hanger to force the donation box open and snatched about $100 cash inside, police said.
The suspect then fled eastbound on Newbridge Road, and an investigation is ongoing, cops said. It’s the second instance of a man stealing from church donation boxes in Nassau County this year.
