Flames erupted at approximately 4:50 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1 at the building at 140 Valley Road. Firefighters were still working to contain the blaze as of 7 p.m.

According to News 12 New Jersey, the building houses Crossfield Products Corporation, which makes resin for floors.
People are asked to avoid the area of West Westfield and Valley Road, Roselle Park police said.
"Residents living in the west end of town are asked to keep windows and doors closed as air quality may be diminished due to heavy smoke," police said.
