The multi-alarm fire began at 5:45 a.m., according to ABC 7, quickly burning through multiple townhouses on the complex at Old York Road.
No injuries were reported, Branchburg Mayor James Schworn said. The fire was eventually brought under control, though first responders remain on scene, Schworn said.
Officials are working with county partners to assist displaced residents. The cause of the fire is unknown, but remains under investigation, Schworn said.
"We are extremely grateful for the swift and coordinated response of our fire departments, emergency medical services, law enforcement, and mutual aid partners," Schworn said. "Their efforts were instrumental in bringing this situation under control and preventing further damage."
