Emergency crews were called to the 4000 block of Narrow Gauge Road in Codorus Township around 11:40 a.m. after a caller reported that a man was trapped beneath a fallen tree, according to York County officials.
Responders freed him around 11:58 a.m., but he died at the scene, officials said.
The York County Coroner’s Office confirmed the death in a post on X Monday, saying more information would be released Tuesday morning, Oct. 27.
The man’s name and details about what he was doing when the tree fell were not released.
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
