Jayden Oliva, 19, of Fairfield, was arrested Thursday, July 30, and charged with possession of child sexual abuse material in the first degree, Fairfield police said.
The investigation began after the Connecticut Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children about the upload of suspected child sexual abuse material to a social media platform.
Working with the Stamford Police Department, Fairfield detectives identified Oliva as the person they believe uploaded the material, authorities said.
When detectives searched, they found Oliva had numerous images and videos of apparent child sexual abuse material, Fairfield police said.
Oliva was being held on a $150,000 bond, according to authorities.
