Steve Defrancesco, 32, of Wilton, was stopped after police spotted his tan Ford Fusion traveling "at a high rate of speed" around 12:45 a.m., police said.
The officer noted that Defrancesco appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and he admitted to having some drinks before getting behind the wheel, Wilton police said. He failed a field sobriety test and blew .1129 and .1150 on a breathalyzer, more than the legal limit of .08.
Authorities charged Defrancesco with speeding and operating under the influence, Wilton police said.
He was released on a $300 bond, authorities added.
