Officers were dispatched to a small wooded area south of 138 Mt. Zion Road in Springettsbury Township around 2:31 p.m. on Friday, April 10, after a report of a deceased person, according to Springettsbury Township Police.
When police arrived, they located one deceased individual on the ground in the wooded area, officials said.
The body was recovered and transported to the York County Coroner’s Office. An autopsy is being scheduled to determine the cause and manner of death.
The investigation remains ongoing.
