Beach Bird, which first opened three years ago in Oyster Bay, held the grand opening of its second location in Long Beach on Saturday, July 4.

“Our soft launch is behind us and our doors are wide open — we cannot thank you enough for all the kindness and excitement from this community already. It means the world to us,” the restaurant shared in a social media post.

The menus at both locations are similar, including the $33 bird basket offering three tenders, eight nuggets, and 10 wings for sharing, according to Newsday. Chef Dave Malinowski told the outlet he worked in several different restaurants before noodling on his own recipes during the COVID pandemic.

Malinowski told Newsday he was sure of the move after seeing the space in Long Beach and asking, “Why not have one on the North Shore and the South?"

The new spot at 163 E. Park Ave. in Long Beach was previously occupied by Peri-Peri Guys, which still has locations in Hicksville and Selden, according to its website.
