York County Regional Police issued a fresh appeal on Friday, Aug. 28, seeking information about the Dec. 28, 2008 homicide at the former Jamie's Courtside Sports Bar in Spring Garden Township.
Police identified the deceased as Anthony Wright in the "Persons Involved" section of the newly released document, though the narrative portion of the release repeatedly refers to him as Andrew Wright.
Officers were called to the former bar at 18 South Belmont Street at approximately 1:54 a.m. for a reported disturbance, according to the department.
Investigators determined that a physical confrontation occurred shortly before Wright suffered the injury that killed him. He was subsequently pronounced dead, police said.
Nearly two decades later, investigators say the case remains active as they work to establish exactly what happened and identify whoever was responsible.
Police did not disclose the nature of Wright's fatal injury or say whether investigators have identified any suspects.
