Grateful Dead's Phil Lesh Played Some Of His Last Shows In Port Chester Before Death Before his death at the age of 84, longtime Grateful Dead bassist and founding member Phil Lesh played some of the last concerts of his life at a theater in Westchester.  Lesh, who died on Friday, Oct. 25, played bass with the iconic rock band for three decades up to their disbandment in 1995. Fire Leaves Westchester Restaurant 'Significantly Damaged,' Causes Closure On Busy Road A blaze at a Westchester restaurant damaged the building and left part of a busy road closed to traffic.  The fire happened on Tuesday morning, Oct. 29, when a blaze broke out at a building housing the Tarry Tavern at 27 Main St. in Tarrytown, according to village officials.  The blaze was eventually put out with no injuries thanks to the efforts of the Tarrytown Fire Department and several other agencies from the area, officials said.
