Coroner Names Driver Killed In Early Morning Allentown Crash
A Philadelphia man died after crashing in Allentown on Tuesday, April 30, according to city police and the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. Authorities said they discovered the wreck on the 1900 block of Lehigh Street just after 1 a.m. Twenty-seven-year-old Abeil Adilow was found seriously injured and taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where he succumbed to his injuries, officials said. A tractor-trailer flipped, snarling traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 12:50 p.m. on Monday, April 29 on the Turnpike's Interchange 4 ramp to the toll plaza in Mount Laurel, according to New Jersey State Police. Based on a preliminary investigation, the Volvo tractor-trailer overturned on its side, State Police said. As the result of the crash, the driver of the Volvo sustained minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
