Instead, the 13-year-old Maryland girl dialed 911, saved her cousin’s life, and lived to fight through unimaginable pain — broken bones, surgery scars, and trauma most adults couldn’t bear — all with her mother refusing to leave her side.

Raising Cane's, known for its fare of chicken fingers -- and only chicken fingers -- will open in Hartford County on Tuesday, Feb. 13 in Enfield, said Hannah Henderson, a spokeswoman for the company.
The restaurant's menu couldn't be any simpler with chicken fingers -- either alone or on a sandwich -- along with crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, and coleslaw. That's it. Of course, they do offer soft drinks, lemonade, and sweet tea to drink.

This week marks the debut of a southern fried chicken franchise in Pennsylvania.
Raising Cane's, located at 3925 Walnut Street in the University City neighborhood of Philadelphia, opened its doors on Thursday, May 12.
The menu features its famous fried chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw, texas toast, and secret cane's sauce, its website says.
