The Washington Commanders are officially coming home. The DC City Council voted 11-2 late on Wednesday, Sept. 17 to give the final approval for a $3.8 billion project to build a 65,000-seat stadium at the old RFK Stadium site. The man who gunned down a former staff member to a DC councilwoman is heading to prison for more than a decade. Deandre Miles, now 30, of Washington DC, has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for his role in the shooting death of 28-year-old Davon Fuller in October 2023, authorities announced. A former staff member to a DC councilwoman was identified as the victim gunned down outside of a Safeway in broad daylight, authorities said. Northwest resident Davon Fuller, 28 — a former staff member for Councilwoman Brianne Nadeau — was killed outside the supermarket in the 1500 block of Maryland Avenue NE on Monday, Oct. 16, officials announced.
