McLean Woman Found Dead Beneath I-495 Bridge In Maryland After Welfare Check A welfare check in Montgomery County led to a grisly discovery by Maryland State Police troopers who found a Virginia woman's body beneath an I-495 overpass, officials said. Shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20, troopers were dispatched to the outer loop of I-495 prior to the American Legion Bridge for a welfare check, where they found an unattended Toyota 4Runner in the right shoulder.
