The US Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed that shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 14, there was a 2.8 magnitude earthquake reported in Henrico County and nearby municipalities. A Virginia school bus driver is facing DUI and child endangerment charges after authorities say he drove part of a route with children onboard before being stopped by a school aid. Deputies in Hanover County were called to Laurel Meadow Elementary School around 3:45 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, where there was a report of a bus driver possibly experiencing a medical issue. A man wanted for failure to appear and car break-ins was arrested when authorities in Stafford County caught him dumping trash at a motel, they said. Jared Beacham, 37, of Goochland, had apparently dumped trash at the Super 8 Motel on Warrenton Road around 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said.
