A major crash blocked all eastbound lanes of the Thruway in Rotterdam for hours on Thursday, Feb. 27. Eastbound I-90 was fully closed at milepost 158, at the I-88 interchange, at 12:45 p.m. due to a crash involving a tractor-trailer, the New York State Thruway Authority said. Traffic cameras showed the tractor-trailer in a jack-knifed position with debris scattered across the roadway. The roadway had partially reopened by 3 p.m . This story has been updated. A major interstate in the region was shut down in both directions following a tractor-trailer crash that left a person seriously injured. The Schenectady County wreck happened just before 3 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, on I-88 in the town Duanesburg.
