A father accused of leaving his care-dependent son to die weighing just 59 pounds has been on the run for more than a year — and now a $10,000 reward is being offered to find him.
Vernon Hatchett, 40, of Glenside, is wanted in connection with the death of his 21-year-old son, Tylim Hatchett, who died from neglect on Sept. 18, 2024, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele announced on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Montgomery County is mourning the loss of Sean Hagerty, a 26-year-old area resident who was killed in a boating accident on Sunday, June 1, his obituary says.
WFMZ says Sean's body was recovered the following day and later officially identified by the Montgomery County Coroner.
According to 6abc, Sean and another boater got caught in drainage pipes under the Keim Street Bridge in Pottstown. While one boater got out, Hagerty did not, the outlet said.
