Man Dead In Motorcycle Crash Outside Fair Lawn Restaurant
A man was killed in a motorcycle crash Friday night outside a popular Fair Lawn restaurant. Responders said the victim apparently was at the Craftsman when he opted for a quick ride on his friend's motorcycle and somehow ended up on the wrong side of the road around 9 p.m. May 5. The motorcycle apparently collided with an SUV at the corner of Maple Avenue and Weber Place, they said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. Serial Retail Burglar Strikes In Berks County, Police Say
A suspected serial burglar robbed a Berks County hardware store in what police say is his 15th theft from area retailers. It happened on Thursday, Feb. 16 at around 1 a.m., Caernarvon Township police said in a statement. The suspect pulled into the Lowe's at 340 Crossings Blvd., walked behind the store, and stole a Craftsman Zero Turn Lawn Mower, they continued. Frequent Offender Nabbed Fleeing Fair Lawn Restaurant Break-In: Authorities
A repeat offender with a proverbial arm's-length rap sheet was captured by Fair Lawn police after he broke into a local restaurant, authorities said. Then they had to let him go. Manuel Cravero, 34, of Prospect Park was seen on surveillance cameras inside the Crafstman, a gastropub on Maple Avenue, after hours, Sgt. Brian Metzler said.
