He was born on March 26, 1973 in New York City to Danne’ Brokaw Munford and Crawford Shaw. He was the stepson of Dillard Munford. Crawford grew up in Bronxville, where he attended the Chapel School and Bronxville School; Waccabuc, where he attended Rippowam Cisqua School and Atlanta, where he graduated from Woodward Academy in 1991. The district is reversing course after hiring Rebecca Antinozzi, a former fifth-grade teacher at the Chapel School in Bronxville who was fired after a parent accused her of staging mock slave auctions.
