A father-son duo from the Hudson Valley is accused of masterminding a $1.2 million Medicaid fraud scheme involving fake limo rides and kickbacks to patients.
Muhammad W. Khan, 40, and his father, Mohammad A. Khan, 68 — both from Campbell Hall — falsified transportation records, billed for group rides as individual trips, and even paid off patients to use their Ulster County companies, according to state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli.

UPDATE: A pickup truck veered off the Garden State Parkway and into a bank of trees, killing its driver, New Jersey State Police said.
Simon Sendon Rey, 35, of Campbell Hall in Orange County, NY, was alone when his Dodge Ram ran off the right side of the roadway on the southbound parkway near milepost 167.7 in Washington Township around 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, NJSP Sgt. First Class Lawrence Peele said.
The pickup "struck multiple trees and overturned," Peele said.

46-Year-Old Killed In Rollover Crash On Area Roadway
A 46-year-old area man was killed in a rollover crash on an area roadway, police said.
Orange County resident Daniel P. Sullivan, age 46, of Campbell Hall, died around 8:15 p.m., Monday, March 14, following the crash on Sarah Wells Trail in Campbell Hall, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
When troopers arrived on the scene, they found a 2015 Honda Accord off the roadway and on its roof, Nevel said.
An investigation revealed that the car was traveling eastbound when it left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a rock causing it to flip over, Nevel added.

In a dramatic movie-style series of raids, a total of 29 people were arrested Tuesday during a drug enforcement action dubbed "Operation Bread, White and Blues."
