Utility Issues Shut Leesburg Pike
Utility issues closed all westbound lanes of Leesburg Pike Wednesday morning, May 1. According to the VDOT site, traffic was being diverted to Patrick Henry Drive as of 9:30 a.m. The roadway was closed at Castle and Thorne roads in Seven Corners. UPDATE: Utility Problem. VA-7 WB at Thorne Road. Fairfax County, VA. All travel lanes remain blocked. Traffic reportedly diverted to Patrick Henry Drive. Delays remain heavier than usual in area. Traffic Alert: I-84 Crash Causes Stop-Go Delays, Route 32 Reopens After Downed Pole
This story has been updated. Motorists had to endure two major slowdowns on I-84 and Route 32 in Orange County. The rollover crash occurred around 9:32 a.m. Monday on I-84 eastbound near Ext 8B in Newburgh. State police traffic is getting by, but traffic is backed-up and slowdowns are occurring. Route 32 was closed in Cornwall from Route 107/Quaker Avenue. and Route 65/Angola Road, due to a downed utility pole and wires from late in the morning until just before 6 p.m.

Separate Incidents Cause Morning Gridlock On Several Area Roadways
This story has been updated. It was a slow go for commuters in parts of the area during the Thursday morning commute as a result of four separate incidents. Police officers in North Castle helped an area resident recover her dog after it got loose and was making the rounds in the area. An employee from the Byram Hills Senior High School reported to police at approximately 7:10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, that there was a dog running at large in the area. Less than two hours earlier, a nearby resident reported to police that her golden retriever had run away from home at approximately 5:30 a.m. that same morning. Tractor-Trailer Downs Lines, Pole In South Hackensack
SOUTH HACKENSACK, N.J. -- A tractor-trailer snagged power lines in South Hackensack on Friday, yanking down a utility pole with them. A PSE&G crew was repairing the damage at the corner of Huyler Avenue and Wesley Street. A stretch of Wesley Street and part of the intersection were temporarily closed.
