Park Burglar Steals Tools, Keys From East Meadow Recreation Center Police are seeking tips after a burglar stole tools and several keys from a Long Island park administrative building. The break-in occurred in East Meadow, at Speno Park on East Meadow Avenue, at around 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, Nassau County Police said. Someone forced their way into the park’s administrative building, damaging several interior doors in the process. They then fled with a drill set and several master locks and keys. The Suffolk County Police Department said the auction will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Property Section, located at 30 Yaphank Ave. in Yaphank. SCPD said the auction will begin at 9 a.m. and will include items such as jewelry, watches, tools, landscaping equipment, electronics, iPhones, and more.
