A Milltown man has been charged in connection with a string of burglaries that occurred across Somerset County in December 2024, authorities announced.
Gabriel Bay, 56, was arrested on Dec. 17, 2024, following a joint investigation by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Burglary Unit and police departments from Bedminster, Warren, Branchburg, Bernards, and Green Brook. The burglaries spanned five townships, targeting convenience stores, restaurants, and other businesses between Dec. 3 and 16, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald said.

Teen Nabbed For Norwalk Boat Burglaries, Police Say
A 19-year-old Fairfield County man has been charged with allegedly breaking into a marina and two boats, stealing tools and alcohol.
Christopher McClain, of Redding, was charged on Tuesday, June 11, by Norwalk Police for being one of two men who climbed the fence at the Cove Marina on Friday, May 17, to gain access to the docks.
According to Sgt. Ryan Evarts of the Norwalk Police, the two then broke into two docked boats and took tools and alcohol.

Suffolk County Police To Auction Jewelry, Tools, Electronics
Police on Long Island announced plans to hold a property auction next week.
The Suffolk County Police Department said the auction will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Property Section, located at 30 Yaphank Ave. in Yaphank.
SCPD said the auction will begin at 9 a.m. and will include items such as jewelry, watches, tools, landscaping equipment, electronics, iPhones, and more.
A preview of the jewelry and other items will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, police said.
Participants have to be at least 18 years old to bid, SCPD said.
