Firefighter Falls Through Burning Home In Bridgeport
A Fairfield County firefighter was injured after falling through a floor while battling a structure fire. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 10:10 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 2 in the 700 block of Park Street. Firefighters responded to the structure fire after receiving multiple 911 regarding a fire, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management For Bridgeport. Three people were hospitalized after an apartment fire broke out overnight on Long Island. According to Nassau County Police, Sixth Precinct officers responded to a call for an apartment building fire Thursday, Dec. 30, at around 9:45 p.m. in Great Neck Plaza, at 15 Clent Road. Two people were displaced when a fire tore through their home Thursday afternoon in Rockville, developing reports say. The fire is believed to have started in the basement of the home on Falls Bridge Lane and quickly spread to the attack just before 4 p.m. The Red Cross was assisting. Propane tanks exploded after they got too hot when a house fire broke out on Long Island. First responders in Nassau County were dispatched to a 7th Street home in East Meadow at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, when a house fire broke out that left two homes with damage. A Fairfield County house fire has left six adults and three children displaced. The fire broke out around 9:15 a.m., Monday, Dec. 28, at the home located in the 1,000-block of North Avenue in Bridgeport.
