Authorities are conducting an investigation after a Westchester homeowner found a suspicious object in their yard, police said. The object was found on Tuesday evening, Aug. 15, when a Yonkers homeowner on Abner Place reported a suspicious item in their yard to the city's police department, according to Detective Sergeant Frank M. Police responding to reports of a suspicious object in a tree at Whites Road Park was later determined to be an extension cord, fashioned into a loop on each end, police said in a release.
