A 24-year-old Vineland man died last week in prison, and his family's attorney said his death was avoidable had he gotten the mental health treatment he'd been requesting. A resident died by suicide while police were on the scene for a welfare check in Fairfield County. The incident occurred in the town of Fairfield around 3 p.m., Monday, March 4 on Longdean Road.
