A Rutgers University fraternity has been permanently shut down amid an investigation into an hazing incident that left a 19-year-old student seriously injured, Daily Voice has learned. Police are investigating after a Hudson Valley student riding on a school bus allegedly sustained a "superficial laceration to the leg." The incident took place in Orange County around 2:40 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5 in the area of Dubois Street, in the city of Newburgh. According to Mike Neppl, spokesman for the Newburgh Police Department, officers responded to a reported stabbing on a school bus. The driver of a car that struck at student crossing the street to a school bus has been charged with assault by auto in Gloucester Township, authorities said. The 15-year-old student from Camden County Technical School was seriously injured by the driver who allegedly ignored the bus' extended stop bar and warning lights, according to Gloucester Township police. Fight Sends Ridgefield High School Student To Hospital
A 17-year-old Ridgefield High School student was hospitalized after falling and hitting the back of his head during a fistfight with a fellow student, authorities said. The other boy, 16, didn't sustain any injuries in the cafeteria confrontation, which occurred around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, Ridgefield Police Lt. Bruno Carbone said. Hampton University Prays For 2 Students After Serious Plane Crash: Reports
Hampton University cancelled classes on Friday, Oct. 7, in light of "two unfortunate incidents", WAVY.com reported The school did not specify the two incidents, but two students were seriously injured in a Newport News plane crash on Oct. 6. School Bus Driver Fired In York County Following Crash With Students Onboard
A school bus was involved in a crash in Hopewell Township while on its morning route on Tuesday, according to Emergency Dispatch Services. The South Eastern School District bus was carrying 17 students when it crashed, overturning at the intersection of Kilgore and Draco roads at 8:05 a.m. When crews arrived at the scene just after 8:30 a.m. all the students were already out of the bus and area was cleared in about one hour, said dispatch.
