A 51-year-old Newark woman pleaded guilty to taking bribes to overlook code violations, authorities announced Friday, June 26. Sonia Rogers pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bribery, New Jersey Attorney General Jennifer Davenport said. As part of a plea agreement, she is expected to sentenced to 364 days in jail, followed by probation, Davenport said.
