Financial Services Professional Donna Furu Of Brewster Dies At 52
Northern Westchester native Donna L. Furu of Brewster, a financial services professional, died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, Jan. 20. She was 52. She was born in Mount Kisco on April 19, 1965, the daughter of Philip and Florence (Light) Furu. Donna graduated from Somers High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. She was Vice President of Learning and Development at BNY Mellon, where she worked from 1998 to 2016. Donna was an avid Mets fan and enjoyed attending the games with her nephew. There is no shortage of Hudson Valley high schools that are among the best for athletes in New York, according to a new list released by Niche.com. The website analyzes data sets and reviews to produce rankings, report cards and profiles for schools, colleges and places to live. The 2018 rankings are “based on student and parent reviews of athletics, student participation in athletics, and the number of sports offered at the school,” the website says.
