Struggling home goods retailer Bed Bath & Beyond filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Sunday, April 23 with plans to close all of its remaining stores after efforts to raise enough money to keep the company alive came up short. Bed Bath & Beyond Closures Include Nine MD, VA Locations
Nine Bed Bath & Beyond stores across Maryland and Virginia are among 87 locations scheduled to close in 2023, the struggling retailer announced. That brings the total number of Bed Bath & Beyond locations scheduled to close to at least 162 announced since September 2022. The final Sears store on Long Island is preparing to close its doors. According to a job posting on the company website from Friday, Oct. 1, the Nassau County store is in the process of being liquidated and needs employees to help disassemble displays and prepare the store for closure. So long, farewell... Disney is closing nearly 60 of its brick and mortar stores across the US come Sept. 15. DisneyDisney Among them, two in Massachusetts.
