Operating On Reduced Schedule, Metro-North Sees Crowded Platforms, Delays
Service has been partially restored on most Metro-North Railroad lines after downed trees on local tracks forced MTA officials to suspend operations on Wednesday night. Metro-North is operating on a reduced schedule on Thursday, with all lines open except for the New Canaan and Danbury branches, which remain suspended. Riders reported crowded tracks and delays as the trains carried approximately half of their average ridership.
