Barricade Situation: Shots Fired At Active Scene In Philadelphia
A gunman barricaded in a Philadelphia home brought a large police presence to the scene Monday, July 10, city police told Daily Voice on Monday morning. Officers were called to the 4500 block of Bleigh Avenue in Mayfair just before 11 a.m. the department said. Reports indicated a suspect was firing a gun from inside a home, police wrote. A man who barricaded himself in a Philadelphia home created a SWAT standoff Friday, March 3, authorities said. Police responded to a man on a roof of a home on the 500 block of E. PA Trooper Killed Dad In Murder-Suicide, Authorities Say
A man shot and killed his father with a crossbow before taking his own life on Wednesday, according to Northwest Regional Police. Wesley Frey Jr., 31, shot his father Wesley Frey Sr., 61, in the chest with a crossbow around at a home on the 1200 block of Wissler Lane around 9 p.m. A family member witnessed who shooting, fled from the scene and contacted police.
