'Nauseated, Vomiting:' 54 Workers Taken To Hospital In Upper Macungie HazMat Incident, Cops Say Dozens of employees were taken to area hospitals after authorities responded to a hazmat situation in Upper Macungie on Friday, Feb. 23. First responders were called to Sharp Packaging Solutions on Keebler Way, for reports of a "chemical odor" and employees feeling ill, township police said.  They arrived to find multiple workers nauseated, vomiting, and experiencing headaches, according to officials. Fifty-four of the 154 employees were taken to hospitals for evaluation, police said.  An update on their conditions Friday evening was not released.
