Lockdown Alarm Goes Off In Error At Peekskill Middle School, Police Respond An accidental lockdown alarm went off at a Northern Westchester middle school and prompted an immediate police response, school officials said. The incident happened on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at Peekskill Middle School, when a lockdown alarm was triggered "by error," according to a message from the district.  Police responded to the school and cleared the building, officials added.  "All students at all schools are safe and instruction is continuing as normal," district officials said.

Pipes Burst At School In Peekskill: Cold Temperatures Cause Flooding Freezing cold temperatures caused pipes to burst in a Northern Westchester Middle School, which resulted in parts of the building flooding.  At around 3 p.m. in the afternoon on Saturday, Feb. 4, a fire suppression sprinkler in the ceiling of a stairwell at Peekskill Middle School froze because of the high wind gusts and cold temperatures, according to a letter sent to parents by Superintendent David Mauricio.
