Driver Escapes After Car Rolls Into Woods In Ossining A driver avoided serious injury after a single-vehicle crash that sent a car rolling into the woods in Westchester County.  The incident happened just before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, on Route 9A near Route 134, according to the Ossining Fire Department. Responding crews found that the vehicle had overturned and come to rest in a wooded area off the roadway. Authorities said the driver was able to get out of the vehicle on their own and declined further medical treatment at the scene. Firefighters stayed at the scene while a tow company worked to remove the vehicle.

Ossining Police said officers responded late Wednesday night, Feb. 19, after receiving a report of a man who had fallen into an icy brook. Using an infrared camera on the department’s drone, police found the man and illuminated the area with a spotlight.
