Electrical Fire Shuts Down Stretch Of Lime Kiln Road
An electrical fire on a utility pole has shut down a portion of Lime Kiln Road.The Ramapo Police Department said they are on the scene of the fire along with the Hillcrest Fire Department at Lime Kiln Road near Route 306. O&R Utilities is enroute. Motorists are asked to avoid the area. Power is reportedly out to several homes in the area. It is not known how long it will take to restore it.

Allendale Police Investigate SUV Rollover Crash That Took Out Utility Pole
UPDATE: Allendale police were investigating a rollover crash Monday that took out a utility pole, sent the driver to the hospital with minor pains and closed a main road for hours. Another motorist called 911 and told police the 55-year-old Chevy Tahoe driver from New Milford "was being erratic" just before the 11:28 a.m. crash on Franklin Turnpike, Sgt. Todd A. Griffith said. Thousands Still Without Power In Orange County
Thousands of Orange and Rockland residents are still without power as employees with O&R Utilities work feverishly to restore power amid hundreds of downed trees and lines. As of 10 a.m., Rockland County had 2,444 residents without power and Orange County had 8,471, company officials said. The company's website said it hoped to have power restored to many by 1 p.m., with the more extreme repairs running later. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Stony Point House Fire Considered Suspicious
Stony Point Police are investigating a suspicious fire that damaged a home early Wednesday. Officers responded within a minute of getting a report of the blaze around 1:30 a.m. at 40 Filors Lane, said Lt. Daniel Hylas. When officers arrived they found the family had safely escaped without injury, he said.
