First responders were called to a reported small plane crash in Virginia late on Wednesday afternoon. Emergency crews responded to a plane crash in the area of Chancellor Road and Scarlet Oak Road shortly after 3 p.m. on April 9 to investigate the crash, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office confirmed. The initial call came in at approximately 3:08 p.m. after the plane took off from Leesburg en route to Hampton Roads, officials said.
