A 35-year-old Morris County high school teacher has been arrested on accusations she sexually assaulted a 17-year-old child she'd been tutoring, officials said. Alyssa Perry, of Rockaway Township, a teacher at Morris Knolls High School, became the center of an investigation when school administrators reported her inappropriate behavior to Denville police in March, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said. A family lost their home in a house fire on Friday, Aug. 30, and the Denville community is coming together to help. A fundraiser has been launched for the Jones family to support them following the fire. As of Tuesday, Sept. 3, more than $33,892 has been raised. A 44-year-old Rockaway man was arrested and hit with multiple charges following a hit-and-run crash at Morris Knolls High School on Wednesday, April 24, authorities said. David DeRosa was drunk when the crash occurred, Denville police said. He was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of a crash, failure to report a motor vehicle crash and improper backing, police said.
