UPDATE, Tuesday, Dec. 10: The victim has been identified. Click here for more. Original story is below: A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Monday and suffered fatal injuries, according to a preliminary investigation by the Essex County Prosecutor's Office. The victim, identified only as a female, was crossing near Washington Avenue and Mill Street when she was struck at around 7 p.m. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
