Does pastry chef Joe Murphy have what it takes? We'll find out Thursday evening, Sept. 7. Murphy, who lives in Scotch Plains and runs Bakehouse by Joe Murphy in New Providence, will be appearing on "Beat Bobby Flay" on the Food Network at 9 p.m. On "Beat Bobby Flay" two contestants face off, cooking a dish for 20 minutes using a secret ingredient chosen by Flay.
