Laura Ann Cioffi Delp, a Montgomery County resident and beloved wife, mother, and daughter, died of cancer Wednesday, Nov. 23, according to her obituary. She was 36.
Born in Boston, Laura was recently working as a program coordinator at staffing agency Yoh, and lived in Conshohocken with her husband of five years, Erik, and their 3-year-old daughter, Clara, her obit says.

They called her Ms. Velvet.
That is, both Ruby Marrero and the new cafe that her brother, Carlos Marrero, is opening in her memory.
Ruby was killed by a drunk driver in a hit-and-run crash in February 2017 in Allentown. On Monday, Aug. 29, Carlos opened Ms. Velvet just two blocks from the crash scene, in an effort to keep his sister's name alive.

Schuylkill River Drowning Victim Remembered As 'Good Soul Gone Too Soon'
Samantha Henry, the 28-year-old woman who drowned in the Schuylkill River Monday, July 4, was being remembered by loved ones as a "good soul gone too soon."
A Phoenixville High School graduate, Henry was a theatre guild member in school and worked as a tax accountant, her Facebook profile shows.
"You were always kindhearted, wicked intelligent, stubborn, free-spirited, a portion of light that anyone could connect with and feel comfortable," said Steven M. Johnson, who is listed as Henry's brother on her page.
