Two Found Dead Inside Fort Lee Home, Prosecutor Says
Two people were found dead inside a Fort Lee home on Wednesday morning, June 25, authorities said. Officers with the Fort Lee Police Department were called to a private residence on 14th Street around 11:37 a.m. to perform a welfare check, according to Deputy Chief of Detectives Jeff Angermeyer of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. Inside the home, police found two unresponsive individuals. Both were pronounced dead at the scene, Angermeyer said. Driver From Cliffside Park, Pizzeria In Fort Lee OK After Crash
A 60-year-old driver was OK -- and so was the shopping center that holds the Fort Lee pizzeria that her car plowed into Wednesday morning, authorities said. Nova Pizza on Lemoine Avenue will remain closed "until it is cleaned and inspected and has a properly secured door," Police Chief Matthew Hintze said. No summonses were issued to the 2012 Honda Civic driver following the mishap just before 10 a.m., Hintze said.
