A drunk driver was arrested after they crashed into a light rail train on the early morning of Friday, Oct. 25, authorities said. At 12:15 a.m., a Hudson-Bergen light rail vehicle was struck by the vehicle at Paterson Plank Road crossing near 2nd Street station in Hoboken, NJ Transit said. The operator of the light rail vehicle claimed back pain and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, NJ Transit said. A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a Light Rail train in the area of Business Park Drive in Lutherville during the afternoon commute, according to officials. Police say that a person was struck by the train shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, near Timonium Road, leading to a heavy response from emergency personnel.
